As individuals, we make choices that best serve us. The more purpose-directed those choices, the more potential they have to be strategic – intentionally meeting our own objectives and, taken together, society’s. In formal strategic planning processes, individuals consciously choose to balance their own objectives with those of the larger group. Informally, something as simple as individual consumption choices affect the marketplace, and therefore others’ choices. We are all influencers, all the time, consciously or not.
